Sergey Vereshchagin reported on the development of social support measures in new territories of Krasnoyarsk

13 February 10:45
The mayor of Krasnoyarsk Sergei Vereshchagin instructed the administration to study the issue of introducing city social support measures in the annexed territories.
Currently, a legal framework is being developed for the implementation of existing support measures in new territories. Responsible departments are collecting and analyzing data on potential recipients, which is necessary to create registers and determine the needs of various categories of the population.
In total, Krasnoyarsk has 27 social support measures, including assistance to participants in a special military operation and their families, large families, citizens in difficult life situations, in a socially dangerous situation, pensioners, as well as children with disabilities.
The measures will be implemented in stages. First they plan to launch financial payments, then expand the list of social services.
“Our task is to ensure not just a smooth transition from the city to the district, but to ensure that this transition becomes effective in terms of the quality of life of Krasnoyarsk residents. In every point of the greater Krasnoyarsk, a resident should feel like a full-fledged citizen and have access to the necessary services. At the first stage, it is important to create a legal basis for this work, as well as to assess the competencies of local specialists who will accompany residents. Of course, at the start we need supervision from our social protection specialists. I hope that new Krasnoyarsk residents will receive the first measures of social support this year,” noted the head of Krasnoyarsk Sergei Vereshchagin.
Information on the implementation of social support measures in the annexed territories will be officially published on the city administration website as soon as the legal framework is ready.
Let us remind you that a new system of municipal government in the Krasnoyarsk Territory was approved in 2025. The 472 municipalities were replaced by 33 municipal districts and six urban municipal districts. After the municipal reform, Krasnoyarsk became almost three times larger. The expanded boundaries of the urban district will include Areyskoye, Berezovka, Bugachevo, Drokino, Kamenny Yar, Minino, Snezhnitsa, Solontsy and Elita.
