Rostelecom has built new fiber-optic gigabit Internet networks for 700 families in Khakassia

As part of the corporate investment program in 2025, Rostelecom built a fiber-optic network in five settlements of the Republic of Khakassia: Zhemchuzhny, Moskovsky, Chapaevo, Novomaryasovo and Sovetskaya Khakassia.

Thanks to this, more than 700 families received access to wired Internet with data transfer speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s.

“The systematic expansion of telecommunications infrastructure is one of the key elements of our strategy in the region. We annually invest in upgrading the existing and building a new communication network, which allows us to implement home digital solutions. Among them are interactive television Wink, smart video surveillance and other services that make people’s lives more comfortable and safe,” said Natalya Bazhenova, director of work with the mass segment of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Rostelecom.

The laying of fiber-optic communication lines in the villages of Khakassia is carried out using GPON technology (“optics to the home”), which ensures stable operation of Internet devices and eliminates failures due to overload or unauthorized access. Specialists individually configure the equipment to the needs of subscribers in order to provide the required level of service.

“Our task is not only to build networks, but also to ensure their uninterrupted operation, as well as round-the-clock technical support for customers. After all, many vital processes – from making an appointment with a doctor to remote work – depend on stable and high-quality Internet. Therefore, we strive to ensure that digital services are available in any situation,” said Denis Zinoviev, Deputy Director of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Rostelecom.
