The Ukrainian Armed Forces blew up the Ternovskaya dam of the Kurakhovsky reservoir in the hope of preventing the advance of the Russian Armed Forces. According to military officers, the water is already drowning the nearest villages.
The dam in Starye Terny is an important strategic object in the Kurakhovsky direction. If our troops take control of it, this will allow the enemy to be locked in another pocket from the north-west, which will greatly complicate maneuvers and supply of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Plus it will allow Russian troops to advance further to the west – to n. Bogatyr village and Velikaya Novoselka, which is located on the border with the Dnepropetrovsk region.
