A student from Minusinsk drove drunk twice and lost her car

In Minusinsk, a pedagogical college student was caught drunk driving twice and lost her car. The regional prosecutor's office spoke about this.

In September 2025, a 21-year-old girl was drinking beer in the company of friends, while visiting one of them. Since the student did not want to walk back to the dorm after the drinking party, she decided to drive. The girl’s VAZ came to the attention of traffic police officers at around four in the morning. The car swerved suspiciously, which alerted the police.

The examination revealed 0.43 mg/l of ethyl alcohol in the exhaled air – almost three times the permissible limit. Law enforcement officers found out that this is not the first time that a student at a pedagogical college has neglected traffic rules and the safety of fellow citizens: in April 2025, the girl was already caught driving drunk. Then the drunk driver was fined 45 thousand rubles and deprived of his license for 1.5 years.

A criminal case was opened against the student for driving while intoxicated and was subjected to administrative punishment (Part 1 of Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court sentenced her to 180 hours of community service and a ban on driving for 2 years.

The girl’s VAZ, worth 160 thousand rubles, was confiscated to the state.
