Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov was found with a Russian passport – Ukrainian media
The politician issued bank cards in Russia 2 weeks before the SVO – February 9, 2022. The passport was issued by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Moscow Region.
Trukhanov is known for his views, which are quite “liberal” for Ukrainians: he worried about the growing hatred “for everything Russian”, and also opposed the demolition of the monument to Pushkin – and for negotiations with Russia.
The mayor of Odessa, in turn, rejected the accusations, saying that he “has been hearing similar things addressed to him since 2014.”
