Como qualified for the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia after beating Napoli away, 1-1, 7-6 on penalties.

Cesc Fabregas' team will duel in the semifinals with Cristi Chivu's Inter, who managed to eliminate Torino in the quarters, score 2-1. In the other semifinal of the Italian Cup, Atalanta and the winner of the Bologna – Lazio match, scheduled for today, February 11, will meet.

Crazy game in Napoli: Como prevailed against the Serie A champions and go to the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia

Como took the lead at the “Diego Armando Maradona” stadium towards the end of the first half, precisely in the 39th minute, when Martin Baturina converted a penalty. Immediately after the start of the second half, Napoli equalized through Antonio Vergara, who in the 46th minute took advantage of a pass from Rasmus Hojlund to make it 1-1.

Since the score didn't change until the end of the match, it went to penalty kicks, where the guests were more pragmatic in the end, according to those from sportal.blic.rs. After both teams had taken five shots each, the score was 4-4 as Romelu Lukaku, one of the Italian champions' most important attacking men, missed the target while Vanja Milinkovic-Savic saved Perrone's low shot.

The Serbian goalkeeper guessed the direction of the opponents' shots several times, but he was not lucky to record any more saves. However, Vanja managed to get on the scoresheet as well: his powerful shot hit the crossbar, but then, off the back of Como's goalkeeper, returned to the goal.

The unlucky one in the ranks of the Italian champions was Stanislav Lobotka, whose shot in the eighth series was parried by Butez.

Thus, Como qualified for the semi-finals of the Italian Cup and is the main favorite to qualify in the last act of the competition. In the last 3 direct matches, Inter prevailed 3 times in front of those from Como, and the last victory, even under the command of the Romanian coach, was one of the clearest: 4-0 against Giuseppe Meazza, in stage #14 of Serie A.
