The weather will remain cold today as well, with temperatures below climatological averages and variable skies, mostly cloudy in the west, southwest, south and center, temporarily cloudy in the rest of the country. There will be precipitation predominantly in the form of snow in the south-west and the center of the country, isolated deposits of snow or ice, and the wind will have local intensifications, temporarily blizzarding the snow.

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has issued, for the interval February 9, 10:00 a.m. to February 11, a meteorological information and Yellow Code warnings regarding precipitation, strong wind and very low temperatures.

During this interval, there will be temporary precipitation predominantly in the form of snow in the southwest of the country. Especially in Oltenia, amounts of water of 5–10 l/m2 and isolated 15–20 l/m2 will accumulate, and the snow layer will be 5–15 cm thick. Light snow will also be in the south and center of the country, and ice or ice will form in isolation.

The wind will have local intensifications in the southwest, south and east and, in some places, in the center of the country, with speeds of 45–50 km/h. At high altitudes in the Southern Carpathians, gusts will exceed 70–90 km/h, temporarily blowing snow. The thermal values ​​will be below the climatological averages in the extra-Carpathian regions and locally in the center of the territory.

In Moldova and eastern Transylvania, temperatures will be particularly low, with values ​​6–9 degrees lower than normal for this period. During Monday, temperatures will be between -7 and -3 degrees, and during the night from Monday to Tuesday (February 9/10) it will be cold, with minimums between -14 and -10 degrees.

In the south of Banat and in the western extremity of the Southern Carpathians, the wind will intensify with gusts of 50–70 km/h, temporarily blowing snow. At altitudes above 1,200 m in the Southern Carpathians, gusts will exceed 70–90 km/h, there will be blizzards and reduced visibility.

The sky will be more cloudy in the west, southwest, south and center and temporarily cloudy in the other regions. There will be mixed precipitation in Crișana and possibly in Maramureș. Isolated ice or ice will be signaled. The maximum temperatures will fall between -3 and 7 degrees, and the minimum between -7 and 2 degrees. In the morning and at night, in limited areas, there will be fog.

In Bucharest, the sky will be more cloudy, and light snow is possible during the night. The wind will blow weak and moderate, and the maximum temperature will be around 1 degree Celsius, while the minimum will be between -2 and 0 degrees.
