The drone discovered on a beach in Mamaia was allegedly used in shooting activities in which officers from the Ministry of National Defense (MApN) and partner structures participated, according to Antena 3 CNN sources.
Teams from the SRI, MApN, ISU and the Police went to the site on Monday to check and determine if they represent a risk.
Radu Miruță, the Minister of Defense, stated, on Monday evening, that the remains of the drone were brought by the water to the beach in the area of the Victoria hotel in Mamaia.
“There are specialized teams in the course to identify if I can recover something electronic from those remains to possibly restore the route, the period, the source”, said Radu Miruta.
According to the Minister of Defense, until there is a rapid expertise of the electronic components found on that drone, “we cannot know if it collapsed, when it collapsed, in which area it collapsed”.
