The winner of the Ukrainian national selection for Eurovision 2026, Leleka, intends to give her cup to the Ukrainian artist Laud, who took second place. The artist announced this on February 9 on Radio Promin.
“Probably, I need to go to a psychotherapist today or what? I feel unworthy, then I feel – why me. The first thought with which I woke up: “Laud sang so incredibly!” God, I was rooting for him so much. I always told him that he is the best vocalist here. For me, just his technique, his taste – wow. I lay in bed this morning and thought: “Why me, why not him?” And maybe we can somehow pass the cups?” – said Leleka.
“Pass the cups? Do you want to give the cup to Laud?” – the presenter clarified.
“Yes,” the singer answered affirmatively.
