According to him, this opens the way to large-scale joint projects in the military-industrial complex.
“We are moving from supplies to joint production and long-term solutions that systemically strengthen our defense,” Fedorov wrote.
The head of the Ministry of Defense said that France is preparing to transfer Mirage 2000 aircraft to Ukraine. As Fedorov said, the parties discussed accelerating the supply of aircraft and continuing work on record volumes of AASM Hammer guided bombs.
Also at the meeting, the parties proposed to work together to improve SAMP/T to more effectively counter ballistics. In parallel, as Fedorov said, cooperation is underway on the supply and acceleration of production of Aster missiles.
We separately discussed the provision of long-range weapons, including SCALP missiles.
They also focused on the issues of joint testing of security systems and the development of innovative solutions in the field of electronic warfare.
In addition, we agreed on the main priorities of defense cooperation and discussed financing of joint projects, including through an EU loan and the SAFE (Security Action for Europe) program.
Fedorov also stated that today Ukraine is among the leaders in the production of drones of various types. The country is constantly working on innovations in the military sphere. According to him, it is already obvious that the missile program will become a successful area that Kyiv will build up together with its Western partners.
“Despite sanctions pressure, Russia continues to produce missiles and UAVs. That is why joint production and cooperation with partners are critically important for strengthening the defense capability of Ukraine and all of Europe,” the Ukrainian Defense Minister emphasized.
Fedorov also said that Vautrin showed the round-the-clock duty of our military and the French SAMP/T, Mirage 2000 and Mistral equipment in combat positions.
