Foreign scientists have conducted scientific work on the effect of wild blueberries on heart health and metabolism. The results turned out to be impressive: 1 small berry can improve the functioning of the whole body, and also has a positive effect on beauty. The journal “Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition” (18+) spoke in more detail about the study.

Benefits of wild blueberries for the body

Wild blueberries are a valuable source of antioxidants, vitamins B, C and PP, as well as iron and magnesium. These microelements slow down skin aging, strengthen hair and nails, increase stress resistance, support heart function, improve vision and aid digestion. That's why blueberries are often used not only for beauty, but also for disease prevention.

How to eat blueberries correctly:

The berries are eaten fresh, frozen, added to yoghurts, cereals, and made into fruit drinks, jam and tea. The greatest benefit from the berry is fresh.

Effect on blood vessels, heart and intestines

Many studies show that after eating blueberries, blood vessels become more elastic and respond better to stress. This effect is sometimes noticeable within a few hours after a serving of berries, and with regular use – after weeks or months.
