On Friday, February 6, on Unirii Street in Cernavodă, two husbands were the victims of a robbery committed in broad daylight. The 72-year-old man was with his wife when unknown persons snatched 13,000 lei from his hand, money they had recently borrowed from the Pensioners' Mutual Aid House, according to focuspress.
The scenes were captured by the surveillance cameras installed in the area, and the images show that two people, a man and a woman, participated in the robbery, who acted quickly and in a coordinated manner. The images show the aggressor snatched the money from the old man's hand and fled in a car.
“Today (Friday, February 6 – no), at around 12:20, policemen from the Cernavodă Police were alerted, by calling 112, about the fact that a robbery had taken place on Unirii Street in the city of Cernavodă. The policemen dispatched to the scene found that what had been reported was confirmed, identifying a 72-year-old man who had stole the sum of 13,000 lei, while he was walking along Unirii street in the city of Cernavodă, with his wife”, sent the Constanta County Police Inspectorate.
Based on the images and the checks carried out, the police managed to identify a first suspect, a 41-year-old man, suspected of involvement in the commission of the act, and the investigation continues.
