There is no peace at Rapid! Coach Costel Gâlcă is not satisfied with the recent transfers – Moruțan and Paraschiv. However, the coach also received good news: soon he can count on the Brazilian Talisson!
Rapid is “on target” both in the championship and in the Romanian Cup, but there are tensions in Giulești, due to the syncopated expression of the team.
Costel Gâlcă's statement after the home match with Petrolul, in the championship, ended with a draw (1-1), leaves room for interpretation: “Today we didn't take the ball to the box… we did, but we weren't clear there. Let's achieve our goals and after that we will talk about other things”.
Nothing new, this is what the coach has been saying since the beginning of the season. GSP.ro learned about some of the “things” that the technician still prefers not to talk about, but brings them up in the discussion, dissatisfied with the consistency, especially offensive, from the dialogue with several sources from Romanian football.

There are voices claiming that Gâlcă is not satisfied with the transfer campaign this winter, especially with the bringing of Paraschiv and even Moruțan!

About them, the coach also said on Friday evening that “I would have liked them to start well from the first match, from the first minute, but they also need adaptation. Both Moruțan and Paraschiv need time. We hope to have Talisson as soon as possible“.
Paraschiv has already ticked off 5 appearances in the shirt of Rapid, but without having any achievement for now. And Moruțan, although he started well, when he was introduced 30 minutes into the away game with UTA, he also faded away, being rather modest in the three games in which he was used since then.
However, both came under special conditions, mostly to restart their careers. Paraschiv only made three appearances at Cultural Leonesa, for 7, 8 and again 7 minutes, the last time he started in September 2025. And Moruțan also played intermittently at Aris Salonic, where he was zero in terms of achievements, in 13 matches in which he played in the championship.
Gâlcă insisted on Talisson
The same sources claim that Gâlcă would not have particularly wanted the two, who were brought by the president Victor Angelescu. However, the technician wanted the Brazilian Talisson de Almeida (23 years old) to be transferred, which was recommended to him and which he liked after further study.
And that, under these conditions, the majority shareholder Dan Șucu, who wanted to reconcile everyone, agreed to both moves, with Moruțan and Talisson. Although Paraschiv had already been loaned.
The Brazilian has a work permit
Even though he is not a household name and comes from the Brazilian second league, the striker arrived at the Giulio group after scoring twice in the 4 rounds he got to play for Avai FC this year. Later, he returned to Red Bull Bragantino, from where he arrived at Rapid.
The Cherries managed to move quite quickly with obtaining the work permit for the South American who can play in any position in attack, but especially as a top.
And they registered him at the FRF since Friday, so he can debut on Tuesday, in the Cup decider, with CFR Cluj, in Gruia.
Because since arriving in Romania, Talisson, whom Gâlcă has said several times that he can't wait to play, has been training with the team, but less in the juniors. And yet, he could appear for the first time on the score sheet in this very match with the Transylvanians.

Gâlca hopes that Talisson will bring a new breath to the offensive, given that his attackers are “unemployed”. Koljic (5 goals in the season) has not scored since the 12th round, in the victory against Farul (3-1). And since then he has scored only one more assist, with FC Arșeș (2-0), in the 16th round. Practically, in the return he did not register.
And Jambor, the other Rapid forward, scored his first goal in the championship only in the success in Sibiu, with Harmannstadt, in 13 appearances in the Super League.
In the last games, the Giuleșani got away with the successes of the defenders, or of the midfielders, in the conditions where the performance of the attackers is far below expectations.
