The Argeş court accepted the appeal filed by the case prosecutor and decided on the preventive arrest of the mathematics teacher from Dârmanesti, accused and investigated for kissing a 13-year-old student.
Initially, the teacher was placed under house arrest by the Câmpulung Court on February 1. Both the suspect and the Prosecutor's Office appealed the decision, but only the case prosecutor won the case, after the appeal against the preventive measure.
Also, the Argeş Court rejected the teacher's appeal against house arrest.
Thus, the court ordered that the suspect be remanded in custody for a period of 26 days. He was taken into custody, according to local media.
The teacher was detained on Saturday, January 30, after the mother of a student complained that her 13-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted.
According to the Argeş IPJ, the checks carried out showed that, on January 29, at around 10:30 a.m., while he was in the hallway of the secondary school in Dârmăneşti commune, Argeş county, a 64-year-old teacher allegedly kissed the minor on the cheeks and lips.
The police opened a criminal case for sexual assault on a minor.
