A 71-year-old man was attacked on the street, Friday, in Cernavodă, while he was walking with his wife, and unknown persons stole 13,000 lei from him.

“Today, around 12:20, policemen from the Cernavodă Police were alerted, by calling 112, regarding the fact that a robbery had taken place on Unirii Street in the city of Cernavodă. The policemen dispatched to the scene found that what was reported was confirmed, identifying a 72-year-old man, from whom the sum of 13,000 lei, while he was walking on Unirii street in Cernavodă city, with his wife“, transmitted, on Friday evening, IPJ Constanţa.
Police determined that unknown persons would have snatched the money from the hand of the injured person and would have pushed him to the ground, later leaving the scene of the crime.
“Until this moment, a 41-year-old man suspected of committing the act has been identified. Research continues for identification of all persons involved and taking the necessary legal measures”the police announce.
