Romania, violently hit by cyclone Erminio: strong wind and rain until Saturday evening. It will snow in the mountains

Cyclone Erminio hits all regions of the country, starting Thursday morning and brings intensification of wind and quantitatively moderate rains, while in the mountains, at high altitudes, there will be snow.

According to the National Meteorological Administration (ANM), between April 2, 6:00 a.m. and April 4, 6:00 p.m., temporarily, there will be wind intensifications, especially on Thursday, in the south and southeast of the country and isolated in the rest, and on Friday in the western areas.
From Friday night to Saturday evening, in the eastern regions, the wind will blow with speeds in general of 40 – 50 km/h, and in the mountains there will be gusts of 70 – 80 km/h.
The specialist forecast reveals that, starting from Thursday morning, there will be quantitatively moderate rains in most of the country, with a downpour character. On Friday and Saturday, they will be accompanied, in isolation, by electrical discharges and there will be hail conditions, Agerpres announces.
Until the end of the interval, water quantities of 20 – 25 l/m2 and, in isolation, 50 – 70 l/m2 will accumulate. Also, in the Southern Carpathians, from Friday night to Saturday, and in the Eastern Carpathians, at over 1,800 meters altitude, it will temporarily snow and a layer of snow with an average thickness of 10 – 20 cm will be deposited.
Also, in Bucharest, the weather will be closed and it will rain during the following days.
Thus, until Friday morning, the rains will be quantitatively moderate (10 – 15 l/m2), and the wind will intensify during the day, when speeds of 40 – 45 km/h will be reached, then it will blow weakly and moderately. The maximum temperature, decreasing compared to the previous day, will be 11 – 12 degrees, and the minimum will be around 7 degrees.
According to the meteorologists, between April 3, 9:00 a.m. and April 4, 9:00 a.m., the sky will be more cloudy and it will rain mostly with showers (2 – 5 l/m2). The wind will blow weak and moderate. The maximum temperature, slightly increasing compared to the previous day, will be around 15 degrees, and the minimum between 6 and 8 degrees.
At the same time, on Saturday, April 4, between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., the sky will continue to be temporarily cloudy and there will be showers, possibly accompanied by electrical discharges. The wind will blow weak and moderate. The maximum temperature will reach 16 degrees.
