In Krasnoyarsk, three schools will be put in order as part of the Youth and Children national project. Mayor Sergei Vereshchagin checked the progress of repair work at the facilities.
The press service of the city administration said that the meeting took place today, February 6, and began with an inspection of site No. 2 of the Pokrovsky educational complex on Stepan Razin Street. The site is currently dismantling old structures inside the premises. There are plans to renovate not only the school building, but also the outdoor sports core.
Active work is also underway in the building of the branch of gymnasium No. 13 (formerly school No. 30) on Lesnaya Street. Here the contractor installs internal networks and rough finishing, leveling the floors. Between 2023 and 2025. The building's roof and foundation were overhauled and a new sports ground was built.
School building No. 94 on Moskovskaya Street is at the highest level of readiness. More than 60% of the work has already been completed. The contractor is currently installing doors, tiles, ventilation and carrying out electrical work. In 2024, the sports ground, which belongs to the institution, was renovated.
“Parents are involved in monitoring the work. We thought through all the design, color solutions, and quite interesting options for arranging computer science classrooms and a center for children's initiatives. We will move the technology premises to make it more comfortable, new equipment will be purchased. Of course, we expect to quickly return to the school building, which we love very much,” said the director of school No. 94, Elena Telitsina.
In order to monitor the progress of major repairs on a weekly basis, headquarters are held with the participation of representatives of the customer, contractor and management of institutions. Let us note that in each school the catering units will be repaired, new technological and educational equipment, safety equipment will be purchased, and the surrounding area will be put in order.
“The facilities are at different stages of readiness, depending on the duration of the contract and the contractors’ start of work. Considering that we are talking about a comprehensive modernization, almost every institution will require repairs to the building itself, landscaping, installation of security systems, and supply of equipment, including to catering units. The schedule is quite tight and intense, so the progress of work must be constantly monitored. There are some issues, including financing, that we will resolve. It is important that teachers and schoolchildren from institutions that are currently being repaired return to their native walls as soon as possible,” said Sergei Vereshchagin.
We would like to add that, separately from the regional and city budgets, a comprehensive renovation of school No. 78 on Timoshenkova Street is currently underway. In addition, the regional project “Family Support” of the national project “Family” in the city included two kindergartens – No. 110, 206. The renovation of preschool institution No. 110 on Kornetova Street was recently completed, and children returned to the kindergarten.
