Donald Trump published a recording on the Truth Social platform in which Barack Obama and his wife Michelle were depicted as monkeys. White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt later issued a statement about the controversial post that caused a storm. She claimed it was a “fragment of an internet meme”. Ultimately, however, the post was deleted from the US president's account and the blame was placed on a “staff member”.
