Elections to the State Duma of the next, ninth convocation are scheduled for autumn 2026. The Russian Central Election Commission announced the expected date of voting.

As Vsluh.ru reports, according to the law, voting day will be the third Sunday of the month, on which the constitutional term of office of the current Duma expires. Thus, the elections are tentatively scheduled for September 20, 2026. The Russian President will officially appoint the campaign by decree in June 2026.

The elections will be held using a mixed system. Half of the 450 deputies (225 people) will be elected from party lists, the other half from single-mandate constituencies. The term of office of the new convocation will be five years, until September 2031.
