Farewell to actress Svetlana Svetlichnaya takes place at the Central House of Cinematographers in Moscow. Among those who came was singer Prokhor Chaliapin.
The artist denied rumors of conflicts with his family and added that Svetlichnaya’s granddaughter and son are excellent people, whom he supports in a special way today. Chaliapin recalled how he was friends and worked with the actress for about two years, and how they were “like visiting each other.” Summarizing, he added that in recent years, Svetlana Afanasyevna’s family had to overcome many difficulties due to her condition. Also in the farewell hall are Valery Barinov, Alexander Pankratov-Cherny and others.
The death of the 84-year-old actress became known on November 16. Preliminary cause: cardiovascular failure due to cancer – oropharyngeal cancer. At the end of August, doctors declared her terminally ill and assigned her palliative status. The actress herself refused treatment.
