The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) published the Resolution of the Presidium of the Regional Executive Committee on perpetuating the memory of S. M. Kirov:

“The Presidium of the Regional Executive Committee of the Jewish National Autonomous Region DECIDES:

Satisfy the petition of workers, collective farmers and laborers to name a garment factory, the Jewish ten-year school in Birobidzhan, the Birobidzhan grain state farm in the Stalin district and the Birofeld collective farm in the Birobidzhan district after S. M. Kirov.

The same newspaper gives its readers basic brief information about news in the region, for example: “For 40 thousand rubles, literature, mainly fiction, was purchased by the regional library… 50 immigrants arrived in the Jewish Autonomous Region in January. The immigrants were sent to Stalinsk, for tractor driving courses. The former international collective farm “Zarya” in the village of Kalinino, Blyukherovsky district, was reorganized. Now collective farms named after. Kuibyshev and “Zarya”. The Regional Consumer Union received a large shipment of dry goods – worth 80 thousand rubles, 40 thousand rubles of textiles and two cars of laundry soap. 2 years in prison.”

The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” in the section “Across our region” wrote that a trade school with a 200-hour training program was organized in Birobidzhan.

“The school has 85 people studying on the job. There are three groups at the school. The first group trains workers in canteens and tea shops: senior and ordinary cooks. The second group trains managers and sellers of food and department store stores. The third group trains bookkeepers, calculators and accountants of commercial enterprises.”

The same newspaper informs its readers that Comrade Krimker, who works at the Birobidzhan “woodworking plant of Pereselenstroy,” designed a device for mechanical processing of staves: “Comrade Krimker’s device makes it possible to process the plane of the stave and its edge on a jointing machine at the same time. This greatly increases labor productivity, reduces the cost of barrel production and frees up workers engaged in manual jointing for other tasks. edges…”

The newspaper informs that the creative workers of the theater named after. L.M. Kaganovich provide great assistance to amateur artistic circles:

“The artist Bengelsdorf traveled to the villages of Waldgeim and Birofeld, where he advised drama circles. Artists Dvanyashin and Melamed lead children’s amateur art groups in the House of Pioneers and Schoolchildren…”

February 4, 1956

Based on the order of the head of the health department of the regional executive committee of the Jewish Autonomous Region dated February 4, 1956, No. 29, a city infectious diseases hospital with 75 beds was opened in Birobidzhan on the basis of the infectious diseases department of the regional hospital. The hospital was set up in a room unsuitable for these purposes. On June 1, 1964, an additional diagnostic department was opened at the infectious diseases hospital and bacteriological and clinical laboratories were equipped.

On December 29, 1987, a new building of the infectious diseases hospital with 200 beds was put into operation. In connection with the opening of a new building, departments have been opened in the hospital – reception; baby drip boxed; boxed infant chest drip; children's intestinal department; intestinal thoracic compartment; adult infectious diseases department.

Since 2020, the regional infectious diseases hospital, which at that time worked as a coronavirus hospital, has opened a diagnostic department. A computed tomograph was purchased for the regional infectious diseases hospital in 2020. Repair work and installation of high-tech equipment continued for several months. The new equipment will fully cover the region’s need for computed tomography for patients with a new coronavirus infection undergoing outpatient and inpatient treatment.

On this day, the medical complex of the regional hospital in the city of Obluchye was put into operation. Construction of the complex lasted four years. The opening ceremony was attended by regional governor Alexander Vinnikov, numerous guests from Birobidzhan and Khabarovsk, heads of a number of regional structures, district and city executive authorities, construction workers and medical staff of the institution. After the traditional presentation of the symbolic key to the building and cutting of the red ribbon, Archbishop Joseph of Birobidzhan and Kuldur consecrated the hospital.

The new medical complex has a capacity of 120 beds and includes a clinic for 240 visits per shift.

The regional state budgetary healthcare institution “Oluchenskaya District Hospital” provides medical care within the framework of state guarantees of free medical care to citizens. In 2015, the hospital was equipped with the most modern equipment.

In 2020, an infectious diseases hospital with 100 beds was deployed at the Obluchenskaya regional hospital, 70 of which were supplied with oxygen.
