Victor Angelescu, the minority shareholder of Rapid, spoke about the situation of the latest transfer from the Giulești team, the Brazilian Talisson de Almeida (23 years old). He still has to wait until he makes his debut in Costel Gâlcă's team.
The offensive player came from RB Bragantino, but at the moment he cannot play for Rapid. The reason? All the bureaucratic procedure regarding the documents that allow him to work in Romania, being non-EU, is currently blocking his debut.
Victor Angelescu announced on Tuesday evening, after the match with Hermannstadt, won 3-0, that Talisson would join the team only in a month, at the beginning of March.
Talisson will debut at Rapid in a month
“Talisson I hope he can perform from the beginning of March. He has been training since then, he has done all the training. I think he is training. As far as I know, he is training in the gym, he has been doing it with the staff. He is not sitting. It is important to see him in the matches.
I have seen many players who are sensational in training, but in matches they are no longer the same,” said Victor Angelescu, on the show “Fotbal Club”, from Digi Sport.
Thus, the new transfer, the fifth from Rapid made this winter, will more than likely miss the following matches:
Depending on how things go, he could also miss the last stage of the regular season, the match against Universitatea Craiova, which will take place around March 7.
Talisson signed for two and a half years with Rapid
Talisson last played in Brazil's second division for Avaí FC, where he was loaned earlier this year.
A 1.88m tall right-footed forward, Talisson has played his entire career in Brazil so far, playing for Itapirense U20, Batistense, Bragantino U20, Ceará SC, Criciúma and Atlético Goianiens
This winter, Rapid also transferred Daniel Paraschiv (striker), Robert Sălceanu (left defender), Dejan Iliev (goalkeeper) and Olimpiu Moruțan (attacking midfielder).
