The Krasnoyarsk commander of the assault group spoke about the brightest moments on the front line

The commander of the assault group from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Vyacheslav Kharlamenko, spoke about his service. Details are shared byRasnoyarsk Union of Northern Military District Veterans.

Vyacheslav was born in Kodinsk, studied at the Priangarsky Polytechnic College, and received the profession of a wood quality inspector. In February 2024, he signed a contract and became a mortar commander. In combat conditions, he was appointed commander of the assault group.

At the end of May 2024, he was seriously wounded in a heavy battle and was sent to the hospital. For the courage and heroism shown during the hostilities, he was awarded the medal “For Courage”.

The warmest memories, according to him, are simple but priceless moments of military brotherhood.

“What I remember most is how the guys and I sang songs around the fire, fried meat, learned new things during training at the training ground, and went for provisions. I rarely had the opportunity to go to the city, but the places there are very beautiful…” said the veteran.

After the hospital and recovery, Vyacheslav returned to his native Kezhemsky district, where he now works as an official representative of a veteran organization.
