James Rodriguez (34), the Colombian international, is in advanced talks with Minnesota United, Major League Soccer, for a transfer that would represent one of the most spectacular moves in the history of the American club.
At 34, the former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich midfielder is out of contract after parting ways with Club Leen in the Mexican league. The Colombian has not featured at club level since November, and The Athletic note that Rodriguez is close to making his MLS debut.

Even though he hasn't played an official game since November 2025, when he turned out for Colombia, Rodriguez continues to be a benchmark for coach Nestor Lorenzo.
