Jaqueline Cristian (35 WTA, 27 years old) defeated Lucrezia Stefanini (140 WTA, 27 years old) in three sets, score 6-2, 2-6, 7-5, in the first round of the Transylvania Open, the category 250 tournament from Cluj-Napoca, in a duel that lasted 2 hours and 20 minutes.
The Romanian will play in the next round of the Transylvania Open against Daria Snigur (144 WTA, 23 years old). The Ukrainian passed Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga Rajaonah (116 WTA, 20 years old) in the first round in two sets, score 6-3, 6-3.
