In the Yemelyanovsky district, a social worker will go to trial for stealing more than 6 million rubles from pensioners

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a social worker will appear in court for embezzling 6.4 million rubles from the budget intended for the elderly and disabled. This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

In 2022ode 40 year old employee social service center “Emelyanovsky” organized an additional source of income for itself. She took shape in other social center “Snegiri” and began to implement the criminal scheme.

The woman assured pensioners and disabled people from Yemelyanovo, Nikolskoye and Raskatov that she would help them obtain financial support. Elderly people handed her copies of passports and medical documents. Then, without providing any services, she filled out fictitious applications, medical certificates and certificates of work performed on their behalf. She forged the signatures of older people by copying them from their passports through a glass window. To make the papers look more convincing, she bought medical certificates with the “necessary” diagnoses from unknown persons V Andinternete.

As a result using fake documents, 112 citizens were recognized as in need of social services, although they did not even know about it. To increase the amount of payments, woman also fictitiously “employed” her husband, daughter and her partner as fictitious social workers, for whom she reported monthly.

“So, for 2 years she regularly submitted reports with false information about the work done, according to which the state transferred subsidies to the organization. As a result of fraud, more than 6.4 million rubles were stolen from the regional budgetleiof which over 3.6 million rubleslei the woman received in the form of “wages” for herself and her relatives,” clarified by the prosecutor's office.

When Social Security Administration officials discovered that many of the retirees listed in the reports were not receiving any services, prosecutor's office started checkingat. The accused admitted guilt, and the non-profit society compensated for the damage to the institution.

The prosecutor approved woman fraud charge By Part 4 Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The Emelyanovsky District Court will consider the criminal case.
