“In 10 days put the lock, it disappears completely”

Florin Prunea (57 years old), former president of Poli Iasistated that the League 2 team would be on the verge of disbanding, due to financial problems.
Poli Iași entered insolvency in the summer, due to the club's debts. The team from Copou was relegated in 2025, after being defeated by Metaloglobus in the play-off. Since then, the club has been unable to sort out its financial problems.
Florin Prunea: “Iași is bankrupt. It will close in 10 days”
Florin Prunea claims that he has information from the inside, and that Poli Iași would disappear and start from League 4. The benchmark club from Copou also went through bankruptcy. In 2010, ACSM Politehnica Iasi, the current team, was established.
“Iași is bankrupt. In 10 days it closes. I also spoke with Tibi (no – Selymeș) yesterday, but he has nothing to do. They don't even have money for food. I understand that they are disbanding it and want to take it from League 4. In a maximum of 10 days, the lock is put on. Poli Iași disappears altogether”said Florin Prunea, according to iamsport.ro.
Poli Iasi needs 1.5 million euros. Florin Briaur: “We need private money”
Florin Briaur, the executive manager from Poli Iasi, also spoke about the club's financial problems.
“We need private money, and it can come from three sources. Either from an investor, or from the sale of players, or from FCSB, approximately 300,000 euros, if we win the litigation with Andrei Gheorghiță. We are in discussions with some businessmen and we hope they will come with us”, said Florin Briar, according to liga2.ro.
Poli Iași needs funds from the private sector, in order to be able to access the money from the public funds of the municipality. According to liga2.ro, the people of Iași must raise 1.5 million euros to be able to continue their activity.
