KSeF: login problems again. How long will this continue?

Entrepreneurs who want to use the National e-Invoice System are experiencing déjà vu. Yesterday they were unable to log in to the platform due to a failure of the Trusted Profile, but in the evening the problem was resolved. Today the situation repeats itself.

Yesterday, thousands of Internet users had huge problems logging in to state websites Trusted profile. The service refused to function. Therefore, users of government websites could not confirm your identity, while entrepreneurs were not able to enter National e-Invoice System (KSeF), which had launched just the day before. When trying to log in, I received error messages about the need to log in again or when the query limit had been reached.
Do I need any magic passwords or elixirs to log in to Ksef?
First, the error. Then the limit. After a minute, another error and another limit. It's been like this for half an hour. #ksef pic.twitter.com/THcusx5iNc— Monika Kotlarek (@psycholog_pisze) February 2, 2026
MF: “Temporary difficulties”. The system started working
The failure was resolved in the evening. In the afternoon, the Ministry of Finance admitted that people using a trusted profile to log in to KSeF were able to do so on that day “encounter temporary difficulties.” According to the Ministry of Finance, however, you can now log in to the system this way.

“Currently, the Trusted Profile is available. While there were inconveniences related to logging in to KSeF using the trusted profile, the system operated without disruptions. This fact did not affect the number of invoices received by the system,” the Ministry of Finance noted in a statement.

Exceeding the norm eight times
The reason is probably reloading the system. Let us recall – as the Ministry of Digitization emphasized during yesterday's meeting with journalists – yesterday there was interest in logging in to KSeF eight times higher than the norm. And this caused the system to overload.
– The infrastructure is running out of breath. This is natural. Any system that has eight times more traffic than usual has problems, said Dariusz Standerski, Deputy Minister of Digitization.
He added that due to temporary problems, the Ministry of Finance introduced KSeF login limits. You can log in to the system no more than once a minute.
– If we have reached the limit, we should not panic. You need to wait one minute and log in again. Everything should work, explained the deputy minister.
In his opinion, a significant number of logins did not result from the desire to issue an invoice, but out of user curiosity, who wanted to check what the system looks like.
Suggestion: other login methods
We can expect more in the next few days repetitions of this situation, perhaps of less intensity. This may explain today's problems.
The Ministry of Digitization suggests using other identification methods. In their case, there are no problems with logging in. This is the case, for example, with a qualified seal.
“Persons using public administration services for purposes unrelated to KSeF may, if possible, use alternative identification methods,” suggested the Ministry of Digitization in a statement.
Przemysław Pruszyński, director of the tax department of the Lewiatan Confederation, stated that companies that do not use logging in to KSeF via a trusted profile, They had no problems with the operation of the system.
– We at Lewiatan have large companies, they have this KSeF already integrated with their accounting systems, and everything works normally there. The problem was with authentication via a trusted profile, KSeF works well, Przemysław Pruszyński told PAP.
KSeF: great concern among users
The system has been waking up for a long time concerns and controversies. Entrepreneurs and accountants have been admitting for many months that they are afraid of KSeF's entry. The closer to the launch of the system, the more concerns they had about the new electronic platform. They concerned, among others, that the new mechanism is unprepared and will be a surveillance tool. Therefore, many organizations and experts called for refinement system and postpone its start.
A large group of entrepreneurs wanted to avoid duty related to the National e-Invoice System. Therefore, business owners submitted applications for exemption from the obligation to use from the new platform, citing the constitution. However, the tax office she didn't want to hear about it.
Which companies did KSeF cover on February 1?
Let us recall the obligation to issue invoices in the National e-Invoice System from February 1 covers only the largest companies, i.e. those that had sales in 2024 exceeding PLN 200 million. According to the estimates of the Ministry of Finance, there are approximately 4.2 thousand such companies.
In the second stage that will begin April 1, Structured invoices will have to be issued by other companies – except for the smallest ones, which are to be covered by this obligation from January 1, 2027. These are companies whose monthly turnover subject to documentation through KSeF does not exceed PLN 10,000. zloty.
So much for issuing invoices. But when it comes to them receiving – this obligation applies to all companies, regardless of size, from February 1.
