In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Tbilisi-2025 expedition started, it will be held in the Yenisei Bay of the Kara Sea. Under favorable weather conditions, ice dives are planned for studying the ship that sank during the Great Patriotic War. The event was organized by the Krasnoyarsk Regional Branch “Russian Geographical Society” together with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Second World War.

Recall that the Soviet Union bought the Tbilisi ship in 1933. Initially, the ship, which was built in the distant 1912, was called “Ramses”. In the war years, it was used to transport goods in polar convoys. In September 1943, the ship was torpedoed by a German submarine and sank in the Yenisei Gulf. Presumably this happened when Tbilisi was moving from Dudinka to Dixon. Then two people died on the ship, the rest were missing.

In 2024, the ship of the Great Patriotic War was discovered by the RGO expedition. Experts found a ship in the water area of ​​Krestovsky Islands at a depth of 12.7 meters using a single -haired.
