Gabriela Ruse, eliminated from the first round at the Transylvania Open

Gabriela Ruse (28 years old, 72nd WTA) was eliminated from the Transylvania Open in the very first match of the main singles draw. The Romanian was eliminated by Rebeka Masarova (26 years old, 114th place WTA) in a match with three sets, score 1-6, 6-4, 2-6.

Gabriela Ruse lost the first set without the right to appeal, took a hard second set, but in the last act she managed to take only two games and was eliminated from the competition.
