Dani Coman, the president of FC Argeș, is the first name in Romanian football that announced his candidacy for the position of president of the professional football league, in the 2027 elections. The announcement was made in Ioanițoaia's show, “Ovidiu's friends”, an edition that will be broadly broadcast today.
- Gino Iorgulescu can no longer officially run in the 2027 elections, unless the general meeting of the LPF agrees with the modification of the state and increasing the number of mandates. The former student sport player officially has two mandates as head of the League.
On November 14, 2013, Gino Iorgulescu wins, with song and the influence of the politics, the elections for taking over the mandate of president of the LPF, in a battle with Dumitru Dragomir. It was 11-7 in votes. At this moment, the intention of Gino Iorgulescu is not known to run for a new term.

Gino Iorgulescu remained at the forefront of LPF and after defeating his counter-candidate, Sorin Drăgoi, score 13-1, at the 2017 poll. And in 2022 he was unanimously elected for the third term of president, not having a counter-candidate.

Invited to the show “Friends of Ovidiu”, Dani Coman clearly announced that he will run in 2027. “I have always proposed great goals in my life, whether it was in sports or other things I did.”said Coman.
“I want to apply for the Professional Football League, but at the same time, and every time I said, that the elections will be over 2 years. We must respect the current president. I do not want to discuss absolutely anything about what is happening there, because it is not normal. It would not be correct to Mr. Gino Iorgulescu and to the people he has in the subordinates. And there are good people, capable, at the league ”, he also pointed out in the show GSP.ro.
What will be over 2 years? We'll see! Things change from day to day. We can't anticipate what it will be. If I am 100% convinced that I have a chance to win, if I am 100% convinced that I can add football, yes, I will probably apply!

Asked who you will call the right hand, the trusted man, Dani Coman replied cautiously:
“I do not want to think, because at LPF there are many capable boys. Hypothetically, if I win, it is clear that many would remain there! But I would like to bring some capable people, a few people to develop Romanian football”.
“I have not formed a team. It is true that I have something and a development plan, more ideas, but I have not yet put them into practice. It is important for Romanian football to develop, to find financing solutions and there are many things to develop”, Coman concluded the subject regarding the elections from LPF.
