As part of the shooting training, soldiers improve dynamic shooting skills and practice firing in various conditions and tactical scenarios, as close as possible to real combat situations.

During sapper training, military personnel learn the principles of safe handling of pyrotechnic materials and practice mining and demining procedures. Soldiers also undergo medical and rescue training, during which they practice operations under enemy fire and the ability to stabilize the condition of the wounded directly on the battlefield.

“Work with technical equipment – practical activities include training in the operation and basic repair of weapons and military equipment provided by partners,” the General Staff added.

The European Union with support for Ukraine

As noted, such comprehensive training allows Ukrainian soldiers to acquire skills that have a direct impact on the effectiveness of performing combat tasks and saving lives at the front.

EU Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine) is a European Union mission aimed at training and supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces in response to Russian aggression. It was established by the Council of the EU on 17 October 2022 and formally launched by Council Decision on 15 November 2022.

The main task of EUMAM Ukraine is to increase the military capabilities of the Ukrainian armed forces through individual, collective and specialized training for Ukrainian soldiers. The mission operates on the territory of EU Member States, coordinating the training activities of Member States and international partners.
