The “Arctic invasion” came to Moscow: last night in the capital was the coldest since the beginning of autumn
At VDNKh the temperature dropped to +2.2°C.
At the same time, in the south of the city, in Butovo, the air cooled to 0°C, and the coldest place in the Moscow region was the local “pole” of cold – the village of Cherusti, where -4.1°C was recorded.
Meteorologists noted that the frost zone covered Central Russia, the north-west of the country, the Upper and Middle Volga regions, as well as the Orenburg region.
Previously, the Hydrometeorological Center warned residents of the European part of the country about a sharp cold snap due to the “Arctic invasion.”
