“Summer without war”: children of dead and captured soldiers left Kyiv for the Carpathians…
This weekend, another group of 62 children from the families of dead, captured and missing soldiers from Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions went to a camp in the Carpathians. A rich program awaits them in Bukovel: excursions, creative workshops, meetings with artists, sports sessions and psychological support.
Over the course of three years, the organizers took 4,000 children from the families of dead, captured and missing Ukrainian heroes from various regions of Ukraine on vacation. More than 650 children are planned to be rehabilitated this year. Financial support for this project is provided by patrons – the company “Ukrainian Armored Vehicles”, reported in the “Espresso” story.
“We have been supporting the fund since 2022. It is our duty to take care of these children. Their parents did a great feat. And we have to show that the country has not forgotten about them,” stressed the general director of the company “Ukrainian armored vehicles” Vladyslav Belbas.
“Since the beginning of the full-scale war, we wanted to support the families of the dead, captured and missing in the way we can – through the rehabilitation of children. Therefore, in 2022, the initiative “Summer without war” was launched. Since then, every year we organize a recreational holiday for children. It's not only the Carpathians, there are also trips for crowns, such as Bulgaria and Greece,” says Anastasia Zarichna, project manager of the charity fund “Mriya Ukrainian Foundation”.
