Previously convicted residents of Tomsk and Omsk will go to trial for stealing a foreign car from a Krasnoyarsk resident (video)

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, police completed a criminal investigation into the theft of an expensive foreign car.

The press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that in March the owner Toyota Camry put my car up for sale in Krasnoyarsk. The advertisement caught the eye of two previously convicted men. ABOUTWe agreed with the owner of the foreign car to view it and specially came to Krasnoyarsk for this.

A 56-year-old Tomsk and a 39-year-old Omsk questioned the car in detailowner about the presence of anti-theft systems at a foreign carlooked at his residence address in the documents, then said that they needed to think about it, and left.

In August, the attackers tracked the car at the place of residence of the owner. Having chosen the right moment, they used special equipment to open the car and steal it. The owner, having discovered the loss, contacted the police.

The thieves hid the car in Mariinsk, Kemerovo region, and left to work on a rotational basis. A few days later the car was found by police and returned to its rightful owner. The attackers knew nothing about this.

“Employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory, with the force support of the riot police of the regional department of the Russian Guard, detained the suspects in the Kuskun-Voznesenka section when they were returning from work in a company car. During the search of the car, equipment for opening anti-theft systems was seized,” the regional police explained.

Against men by police a criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”. The investigation has now been completed. The case materials were sent to the Sovetsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk for a decision.

In addition, the investigator took measures to compensate for the damage – tools worth 30 thousand rubles were stolen from the car. The damage has been compensated in full.
