Donald Trump announces new tariffs for India
The US president also announced that the United States has agreed a trade agreement with India, under which the US will charge reduced tariffs of 18 percent. “Out of friendship and respect for Prime Minister Modi, and in accordance with his request, we have agreed on a trade agreement between the United States and India, effective immediately.under which the United States will charge a reduced tariff, reducing it from 25 percent. up to 18 percent “India will also take action to reduce its tariffs and non-tariff barriers towards the United States to zero,” Trump wrote.
The American leader also said that the Indian Prime Minister has committed to purchasing products from the US “at a much higher level, in addition to over $500 billion of US energy, technology, agricultural products, coal and many other products. Our great relationship with India will become even stronger in the future“- he announced.
Finally, he mocked the leaders of other countries, claiming: “Prime Minister Modi and I are two people who ACHIEVE GOALS, which cannot be said of most people“.
