Women save more often than men. We have statistics


36% of women declare regular saving, and 34% of men. The authors of the publication pointed out that the average level of financial well-being of women in Poland is lower than that of men. Citing the Financial Wellness Index research, they said that in our country it is 44 points, while in the case of men it increases to 49 points out of a possible 100.
The analysis shows that 30% of people declare high stress related to money. women against 18 percent men. Women are also more likely to assess their financial situation as average or poor – 74%. compared to 68 percent men. At the same time, 36 percent women and 34 percent men declare regular saving and greater caution in money management.
Women are more careful with finances
“Women are more consistent and prudent financially. They save more often and make impulsive decisions less often. The paradox is that, despite this responsibility, they feel more stressed, and their financial cushion is usually more modest than in the case of men. This is, among other things, because the problem is structural and often independent of us, women, independent of us,” said Klaudia Sibielak, a personal finance expert at Finax.
The report also noted that in Poland women earn on average about 10 percent. less than men. Women are also more likely to interrupt their careers to care for children, are less likely to be promoted and less likely to occupy top positions. The authors of the publication reported that even with comparable qualifications, the pay gap reaches approximately 8%.. They also drew attention to the difference between the average pension of women and men, which amounts to approximately PLN 1,500 per month.
The analysis also shows differences in the approach to investing between men and women. “Men more often declare investment activity, women more often focus on saving money safely. This is good, but in addition to accumulating capital, it is worth making sure that this money works,” it was pointed out.
The Finax survey was conducted by Maison&Partners at the end of December 2025 using the CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interview) method on the Ariadna research panel on a representative group of 1,070 people aged 18+.
