Funding passenger transportation of Ukrzaliznytsia from the budget is the right step, as many developed countries do

Earlier, the Europeans also called on the Ukrainian government to include in the 2026 state budget a subsidy for UZ to cover losses from passenger transportation. Currently, these costs are covered by freight transportation, which is contrary to European practice.
