Vladimir Putin's war in Ukraine is increasingly affecting Russians. Revenues from the Kremlin's most important source, oil and gas, are reaching historic lows. Declining revenues, excess raw materials around the world, sanctions, rising expenses, weakening of subsequent sectors – the list of problems that are devastating the Russian economy grows longer with each year of the invasion of Ukraine. And that's not all. Some stores are becoming empty, others offer less and less variety of products. Nothing happens without a reason. Citizens' wallets are getting thinner, so they are tightening their belts en masse.
