Only the third time that two newly-promoted start with victories in the Premier League

According to the statistics from Opta, Only the seasons 1997/1998 and 2021/2022 have started with at least two victories of the new faces in the championship. 28 years ago they won Bolton and Crystal Palace, 4 years ago they started with Brentford and Watford.

In the inaugural round of the new season, Sunderland passed by West Ham in an enthusiastic manner, 3-0with all the goals coming in the second side, and Leeds defeated Everton, 1-0, with a penalty empty.
