Krasnoyarsk residents were outraged by the ban on climbing rocks in the Stolby National Park

New rules in the Krasnoyarsk Pillars National Park have caused indignation among townspeople.
Let us remind you that from December 1, 2025, walking in the national park can only be done along seven approved routes, and climbing the rocks is completely prohibited. The ban is based on federal regulation and applies to all informal trails, including the Wild Pillar area.
As Gorod Prima writes, Krasnoyarsk residents were outraged by the restrictions on social networks:
“There will be no more Stolbism according to this logic. Take and ban a centuries-old subculture, known even abroad and associated only with Krasnoyarsk. One thing is now interesting: will the people tolerate it,” the publication quotes network user Anna. Photographer Sergei Tokarev called the ban a murder of the history and culture of the place.
First Deputy Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergei Ponomarenko tried to reassure the public.
“I suggest everyone to calm down: just as we walked and climbed the rocks on everyone’s favorite Stolby, we will do it,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.
The reserve management promises to talk about the innovations in more detail in the near future.
