
At the end of January, I want to start preparing for spring not with strict diets and training to the point of exhaustion, but with small but smart steps. One of them is a hearty and simple breakfast that removes heaviness in the stomach, gives energy and helps you feel collected all day.
You will need:
canned white beans in their own juice – 1 can
onion – ½ pc.
carrots – 1 pc.
garlic – 1 clove
tomato paste or fresh tomatoes – 2 tbsp. l.
spices: cumin, paprika, black pepper – a pinch
greens – optional
oil – 1 tsp. or cook with water
How to cook:
- Fry onions and carrots in minimal oil or simmer in water.
- Add tomato paste, garlic, spices and heat for 1 minute.
- Pour in the beans along with the juice, simmer for 10–12 minutes over low heat.
- Sprinkle with herbs.
Serve with whole grain bread or avocado for the perfect balance of protein, fiber and healthy fats.
