The street will become part of the new Dubai Gold District, which was officially opened by Ithra Dubai and partners. The district unites the entire gold and jewelry trade chain: from retail and wholesale trade to investment.
Dubai Gold District is already being called the global epicenter of gold trading. More than 1 thousand retailers are represented here, including global jewelry brands, as well as hotels and travel services for international visitors. The street of pure gold will become a new tourist attraction in the area, and the opening is planned to be done in stages.
According to Dubai authorities, the United Arab Emirates is the world's second largest physical gold trader, exporting more than $53 billion in 2024-25. The main trading partners were Switzerland, the UK, India, Hong Kong and Turkey.
With the help of the new district, the authorities want to strengthen Dubai's position as the “home of gold.”
