Many complaints to the National Labor Inspectorate, but less control among employers
Experts give several reasons for this increase in complaints. “The PIP promotion worked,” says “DGP” Katarzyna Lorenc, BCC expert on the labor market and work management and efficiency. In her opinion, the amendment to the Act on the labor market and employment services, but also the planned reform of the National Labor Inspectorate, contributed to the increase in complaints.
However, the number of complaints did not translate directly into the number of inspections. The growth dynamics of the latter was three times lower than that of the notifications submitted to the National Labor Inspectorate. In addition to 55,000 planned inspections, inspectors carried out over 22,700 inspections. those as a result of reports. A year earlier there were 21.5 thousand of them.
