In the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, police completed a criminal investigation into a local resident who paid a seller with a “joke bank” bill. This was reported by the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As the attacker explained, he decided to take such an action due to the fact that his bank card was blocked. However, I did not expect that I would have to answer for my illegal actions so soon,” told the regional police.

Based on this fact, the police opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”. The case materials have now been sent to the court for a decision. The perpetrator faces up to 2 years in prison.
