Over the past week, 5 people died from frostbite in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

Since October 1, 2025, 410 people have applied to medical institutions in the Krasnoyarsk Territory with frostbite and hypothermia. Over the past week, the number of victims increased by 97 people. This data is provided by the regional territorial center for disaster medicine.

Total from October 1 212 patients received outpatient care (+45 per week), 183 patients were hospitalized (+47 per week), 15 died in hospitals (+5 per week).

Doctors remind you that if you suspect frostbite or hypothermia, you must take the following measures:

  • nimmediately go into any warm room;
  • remove frozen clothes and shoes;
  • do not rub frostbitten areas with snow or cloth – this will injure the skin;
  • warm up gradually: drink warm (not hot!) sweet tea. You can take a warm, but not hot, bath or apply a warm (body temperature) bandage to the affected areas;
  • If sensitivity is not restored or blisters appear, consult a doctor.
