In Krasnoyarsk, police officers caught a wholesale drug dealer and seized 1,000 single doses of methadone from him.

Law enforcement officers detained a 30-year-old man with the assistance of traffic police inspectors. A polymer bag containing a prohibited substance with a total weight of 300 grams was found in the attacker’s car. It turned out that the Krasnoyarsk resident works for an online store that distributes drugs. He acquired the “forbidden item” through a cache in the suburbs and subsequently intended to sell it in small quantities.

“Scales and packaging material were also seized at the man’s place of residence,” added the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

For attempting to sell a narcotic drug on an especially large scale, a criminal case was opened against a Krasnoyarsk resident under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 5 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 15 years up to life. The suspect is now in custody.
