Marius Corbu (23 years old), the former U21 international of Romania, was officially introduced to Ferencvaros, the champion of Hungary.
The midfielder was transferred from APOEL Nicosia for 1.5 million euros. This season, Marius Corbu played 18 matches in the Cyprus championship, scored 4 goals and provided 6 assists.

“After the Argentinian Mariano Gómez, the Dutch Elton Acolatse and the Croatian Franko Kovacevic, we transferred Máriusz Corbu! The 179 centimeter tall midfielder, of Csángó origin and dual Romanian-Hungarian citizenship, was born on May 7, 2002.
In September 2019, at the age of 17, he made his debut in the senior team of Csíkszereda. In 2020, he was transferred to Puskás Akadémia, where he had his first opportunity to play in the second team. In August 2020, he made his Felcsút senior team debut in a 3–2 home win against Újpest.
Between 2020 and 2024, he played a total of 112 league matches for Puskás Akadémia, scoring 12 goals. He won silver in 2021 and bronze in 2022 with the Felcsút team in the first league.
In August 2024, he signed with APOEL in Cyprus. In the current season, he scored four goals and provided six assists in 18 championship matches in the Cypriot first league. He also played for the U20 and U21 national teams of Romania,” Ferencvaros said.

A member of the U21 national team until last year, Marius Corbu was one of the favorites of Daniel Pancu, the former selector of the youth team.
CFR Cluj's coach called Corbu a “machine”, who played in all 3 games at the European Youth Championship last summer.
Corbu is a midfielder who looks for and attacks spaces, as we rarely find in Romanian football. We had a very good midfield at U21, Corbu-Vulturar-Grameni, in 4-3-3.
All three showed fantastic physical quality as well as technique. Corbu easily goes to 13 kilometers run in a match, it's a car!
