Woman killed by her boyfriend in Iași county. The man had a restraining order, but it was overturned by the court

A 35-year-old woman was beaten to death by her boyfriend on Monday evening, the deed took place in Hârlau, Iasi county. The 45-year-old man was found by the police, being taken for questioning. At the same time, the investigators determined that, in August of last year, the court issued a protection order in favor of the woman, the order being revoked in September, informs News.ro.
“On January 26 this year, at around 6:45 p.m., the police officers from Section No. 9 of the Hârlau Rural Police were alerted to the fact that a man had physically assaulted his concubine, resulting in her death. The police went to the scene and found that what was reported was confirmed, as the body of a 35-year-old woman was identified,” the County Police Inspectorate reported Iasi.

As a result, a team from the Iasi Criminal Investigation Service, together with a prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Iasi Court, went there for investigations.
“Shortly after the activities, the 45-year-old man suspected of committing the crime was found by the police and taken to the hearings. From the checks carried out, it emerged that, on 07.08.2025, the court issued a protection order in favor of the woman, and on 24.09.2025, the court ordered the revocation of the protection order. Also, at at the level of the section, the map of the conflict situation was drawn up, and since the date of revocation of the protection order, there have been no more reports between the two cohabitants”, the quoted source said.
In this case, a criminal case for murder was drawn up, and the investigations are continued to establish the entire factual situation and take legal measures.
