More than 220 thousand visits to outpatient cancer care centers took place in 2025 in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Health.
“The total number of visits to outpatient oncology care centers in the Krasnoyarsk Territory last year was 222,239. Patients were hospitalized 24,911 times to receive antitumor drug therapy in the day hospitals of outpatient oncology care centers. For comparison, in 2025, patients were hospitalized 23,805 times in the day hospitals for antitumor drug therapy of the regional oncologic dispensary. We would like to add that all antitumor drug therapy regimens for patients in our region are prescribed and applied taking into account the clinical recommendations of the Russian Ministry of Health according to the decision of the medical council,” the Ministry of Health said.
Outpatient cancer care centers are structural divisions of city, district or interdistrict hospitals and large clinics. There are 20 such centers in the region. They are open in every district of Krasnoyarsk, as well as in regions of the region where the population exceeds 50 thousand people. Outpatient oncology care centers reduce the time required for diagnosis, the time before starting treatment, and also make it possible to bring antitumor drug therapy closer to the patient’s place of residence: 15 out of 20 centers have day hospital beds.
“The system of outpatient cancer care centers is not yet perfect, but its creation has already borne fruit. Last year, more than half of all courses of antitumor drug therapy carried out in the region took place at the CAOC, which increased the availability of oncological care, saving residents of the region from unnecessary trips to the regional center. We regularly go to the CAOP to provide organizational and methodological assistance, analyze the effectiveness of dispensary observation, the procedure for conducting screening activities for the early detection of malignant neoplasms, as well as the continuity of medical care for patients with malignant neoplasms from the initial detection of cases of the disease to dispensary observation of patients who do not require specialized treatment,” said the chief physician of the regional oncology clinic, Ruslan Zukov.
It should be noted that Krasnoyarsk Regional Oncology Dispensary named after. A.I. Kryzhanovsky is the leading oncology institution in the region, which coordinates the provision of oncological care throughout the region.
